The Swimables SW-61-008 is a 2-pack of small drive gear replacements engineered for Hayward AquaNaut and Poolvergnuegen suction-side pool cleaners, serving as a direct replacement for OEM part number PVXH008PK2. The small drive gear sits within the cleaner's drivetrain and transfers rotational power from the turbine to the steering mechanism — enabling smooth directional changes, reliable wheel movement, and consistent pool coverage across floors and walls. A worn or chipped small drive gear is a leading cause of erratic steering, stalling, and uneven pool coverage in AquaNaut and PoolCleaner series models. The SW-61-008 2-pack provides enough gears for a complete drivetrain refresh, restoring full cleaner performance at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.
- Direct Replacement for Hayward PVXH008PK2: Engineered to match OEM specifications for the small drive gear position in Hayward AquaNaut 200, 250, 400, and 450 and Poolvergnuegen 2-wheel and 4-wheel suction-side pool cleaners — no modifications required.
- Restores Steering & Directional Control: The small drive gear transfers turbine power to the steering mechanism, enabling the cleaner to navigate pool surfaces with precision. Replacing worn gears eliminates erratic movement, stalling, and missed coverage areas.
- 2-Pack for a Complete Drivetrain Refresh: Includes two small drive gears — enough to fully replace both positions simultaneously, ensuring balanced, even power delivery through the drivetrain and maximizing the service life of the repair.
- Durable Pool-Grade Plastic Construction: Molded from premium wear-resistant plastic engineered to withstand continuous rotational stress, pool chemical exposure, and debris contact throughout the full pool service season without deformation or tooth degradation.
- Cost-Effective Alternative to Full Cleaner Replacement: Replacing a worn small drive gear set rather than the entire cleaner is a fast, affordable repair that restores full AquaNaut and PoolCleaner performance — making the SW-61-008 a practical solution for pool owners and service professionals alike.
