Engineered for high-visibility aquatic safety applications, the Ramuc Tuff Coat UT-221 is a single-component, water-based rubberized non-skid coating in Safety Yellow that is well suited to pool decks, splash pads, docks, and other aquatic facility surfaces. The coating is fully submersible and approved for both interior and exterior use, bonding directly to concrete, wood, fiberglass, and metal substrates to produce a flexible, impact-resistant, medium-texture finish that dries to 30–35 mils of thickness. Safety Yellow is the go-to color for marking hazard zones, depth transition areas, lane dividers, ramps, and other high-traffic aquatic surfaces where bold visual contrast and slip-resistant protection are required by recognized safety standards. The UT-221 covers 40–45 square feet per gallon in two coats and is ready to touch in approximately one hour, top-coatable in one to two hours, and fully cured chemically anywhere from 24 hours to five days after application. Application is handled with a Tuff Coat roller or low-pressure hopper spray gun, the product is thinned with water only, and the VOC-compliant formula is appropriate for commercial and residential aquatic facilities alike.

Highlights

  • Safety Yellow for Hazard Marking: The bold Safety Yellow colorway is engineered for marking hazard zones, depth transitions, ramps, lane dividers, and safety boundaries across pool decks, splash pads, and aquatic facilities where high-contrast visual cues are critical for guests, lifeguards, and code inspectors.
  • Flexible, Submersible Rubberized Build: A water-based, single-component rubberized formulation cures to a flexible film that resists cracking, peeling, and delamination even under continuous water immersion and exposure to pool sanitizers, balancing chemicals, and routine UV conditions.
  • Sticks to a Wide Range of Substrates: Bonds directly to concrete, wood, fiberglass, and metal surfaces in both interior and exterior locations without the need for a separate primer, supporting installations on pool decks, docks, boat ramps, patios, and aquatic walkways with one product.
  • Medium-Texture Slip Resistance: Builds to a 30–35 mil medium-texture rubberized finish that delivers reliable underfoot grip when surfaces are wet, reducing the likelihood of slip-and-fall incidents in high-traffic pool deck, splash pad, ramp, and walkway environments.
  • Quick Recoat Window and Water Cleanup: Becomes touch-ready in about one hour and accepts a second coat in one to two hours, reaching full chemical cure between 24 hours and five days, and because the UT-221 is water-based, rollers and hopper spray equipment clean up with water and no solvents.
